Updated In May, 2012 - 10 Game poker is a mixed poker game, which is basically just a collection of different card games played in a certain order. When you are playing 10-Game Poker you will play each of the ten games for 10 hands. 10 Game is not just a mixed game, it's also a mixed limit (ML) game. This means that some of the games will be played in FL while others will be played in the PL and NL formats. Sounds pretty tough eh? It is but only at first. 10 Game Poker includes the following games and will be played in this exact order. You will play each card game for 10 hands before proceeding to the next. This means that if you sit down at the start of the first hand of fixed limit Texas Hold'em and play through the 10th hand of fixed limit Badugi Poker you will have played 100 hands.

Some of you will likely only know how to play 5-6 of these games. This 10 Game Poker rules article will not cover the rules for every single game since that would take you forever to read. Instead I will provide links to the best rules and strategy pages for each game found online. This way you can go directly to the information you are looking for instead of skimming though a huge article that touches on the rules for each game that makes up 10-Game Mix.
In 10 Game Poker you will play both fixed limit and no limit Texas Hold'em poker. This game will be the easiest for a vast majority of readers as it is the most commonly played poker game in the world. While most of you know how to play Texas Holdem, some may not be as proficient as they need to be in both betting formats to do well while playing 10 Game so here are some links that will help you.
Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo should be another easy game for about half of the people reading this. Many of you have probably played it's sister game 7 Card Stud and will at least know how it's dealt and some basic strategies.
Omaha Poker is 2nd in popularity to Texas Hold'em and should not be a problem for most players. I personally prefer Omaha HL but I enjoy PLO as well. If you have limited experience with this game you are going to want to read a lot on this game before hitting the 10-Game tables. PL Omaha is a very fast paced game and it's quite easy to lose your whole stack chasing a hand you should have folded.
2-7 Triple Draw is going to be a touch game for many players. You should make it a priority to learn all you can about 27 Triple Draw before you play 10 Game. You may want to play at the small stake or even play money tables after reading up on it to ensure you have the rules down.
I personally don't like Razz poker much. There's a lot of early bluffing and folding. It contains about 10% of the action/excitement of games like PL Omaha and Hold'em. Don't let Razz become your weakness though because playing Stud or even Stud HL well does not mean you will play Razz poker well. I learned this lesson the hard way.
Fixed limit Omaha HL is one of my favorite games. It can be a very profitable game for skilled players. Many people are very loose when it comes to hand selection in Omaha Hi-lo. You do not want to be part of this group because players like me will slowly bleed you dry so read the articles below.
7 Card Stud is a relatively easy game to learn and many of you already know the basics at the very least. If you are more inclined towards fast paced PL and NL games you will absolutely need to slow it down and read the Stud poker strategy guides below. Do not let your mediocre skills in Stud give you a sense of false security, because it will cost you a lot of money at the 10 Game Poker tables.
27 Single Draw will be one of the easiest games to learn and hardest to win at in 10 Game. I can sum it up right here: 5 Card Draw lowball with Aces, straights and flushes counting as high. Sounds easy right? Well it's not. Be careful not to get the 27 SD and 27 TD rotations mixed up. They are both played the same but Single Draw obviously only has one drawing period.
Eight out of ten players are going to lose money during every badugi Poker rotation for quite a while before they get the hang of it. The game is only available at one other major poker room which is Poker Stars. This will be the toughest rotation in 10-Game for the largest number of players. I know the rules of course but I'm not qualified to talk about strategy so please visit the links below. I "outsourced" these articles to a buddy of mine who has won the big weekly Badugi tournament at Stars several times this year so don't worry about me giving you bad advice....
